Great Music 
At NSD the music is not just background noise … it is front and centre. If a song doesn't make you feel like dancing ... and singing along ... it won't make it on to the playlist. You will probably know (and love) most of the music we dance to.

Satisfying Moves
The choreography in NSD classes is fun, safe, easy-to-master, and created to fit with the music in a very satisfying way. You don't need to have done dance or dance fitness before. But if you've danced before, you'll love the variety.

Friendly and Welcoming
NSD Wellington classes are full of people of all ages and occupations and interests - people who share a love of dancing and music. Everyone is very friendly and welcoming, and the energy in the room is relaxed, positive and fun.

Fantastic Fitness 
NSD classes will definitely improve your fitness, strength and general wellbeing. When you love the song, and you love the moves, and you feel the energy in the room, then you work harder than if you were doing something less fun, … and you keep coming back for more. The result is improved fitness and general wellbeing … easy. Life is too short to do boring, repetitive exercise!

When & where are NSD Wellington classes held?

Never Stop Dancing classes in Wellington are held at the following times and venues:

-Monday, 6:30pm to 7:20pm, Mt Cook School Gym, 160 Tory Street, Wellington
-Thursday, 6:30pm to 7:20pm, Mt Cook School Gym, 160 Tory Street, Wellington
-Friday, 9:30am to 10:20am, Thistle Hall, 293 Cuba Street, Wellington
-Sunday, 10:00am to 10:50 am, Mt Cook School Gym, 160 Tory Street, Wellington

How much does an NSD class cost?

Your first Never Stop Dancing class (Wellington & Online) is FREE.

WELLINGTON CLASSES
After your first class, you can either pay casually in class (cash) or purchase a 1-Off Casual Pass, or you can purchase a Flexi Multi-trip Pass (which is easier & works out cheaper per class). NSD Flexi Passes do not expire and can be shared between friends.

Usual Rates:
-First class: Free
-Casual per class: $22
-5-Class Flexi Pass: $100 (works out at $20 per class)
-10-Class Flexi Pass: $160 (works out at $16 per class)
-20-Class Flexi Pass: $280 (works out at $14 per class)
-30-Class Flexi Pass: $360 (works out at $12 per class)

Gold / Student / Community Service Card Rates:
-First class: Free
-Casual per class: $18
-5-Class Flexi Pass: $80 (works out at $16 per class)
-10-Class Flexi Pass: $140 (works out at $14 per class)
-20-Class Flexi Pass: $240 (works out at $12 per class)

What should I wear / bring to a class?

Accepted Answer

Wear clothing that you can move in ... most people wear leggings or shorts, and a tee or singlet.  Wear layers, so you can remove clothing as you warm up.  The best shoes are aerobics shoes or cross-trainers – shoes that will support your feet, but are also light and flexible, and will allow you to move, turn and spin. You should bring a drink, maybe a small towel and your smile (essential). We often do 1 track in each class where you can use hand weights if you wish (totally optional). If you would like to give that a try, and you have some hand weights at home, bring them along (the ideal weight is 500g to 1kg). Where can I park?

Mt Cook School
You can park on the street outside the school, but please be aware that this is pay parking. Alternatively you can park further up Tory Street (towards Newtown), or at the Pukeahu War Memorial parking (2 hours free - see the images below for how to access this parking).

Thistle Hall
You can park on the laneway that runs along-side Arthur Street (60 mins free). You can also park in any of the streets around Thistle Hall, but please be aware much of this is pay parking.  You can also park in the coupon parking spaces (2 hours free) in the streets that run perpendicular to Webb St (Thompson St, Torrens Tce, Hopper St).

What information do I need to provide?

When you book your first free NSD Wellington class, you need to provide some basic contact information. If you come along to your first NSD Wellington class without booking, then I will get you to fill out a form giving basic contact information. All personal information held by NSD is used and stored in accordance with NSD's Privacy Policy.
